「第2回 インディアホーリーメーラー in 関西」を

兵庫県伊丹市で開催致します！

 

ホーリー祭りとは、「色粉」をかけ合って春の訪れをお祝いする、インドの伝統的なお祭りです。

インドでは毎年3月に開催されており、子供から大人までカラフルな粉をかけあってお祝いをします。

由来には諸説ありますが、悪魔祓いのために色粉を撒くという意味合いもあり、どこか日本の節分にも似た印象があります。

主催者でインド出身のスニル氏（伊丹市タンドリーディライト　インド料理店オーナー）が長年温めてきた構想を実現したイベントでもあり、昨年は大好評のうちに幕を下ろすことが出来ました。

カラーパウダーイベントは有料ですが、フードコートや雑貨などのテナントエリア、ステージライブ観賞などの入場は無料です。

"India Holi Mela in Kansai — 2nd Edition"
Coming to Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture!

 

The Holi Festival is a traditional Indian celebration of the arrival of spring, where people joyfully throw colored powder at one another.

Held every year in March across India, it brings together children and adults alike in a vibrant explosion of color.

While its origins vary by account, one meaning behind the festival is the scattering of colored powder to ward off evil spirits — giving it a spirit not unlike Japan's own Setsubun tradition.

This event is also the realization of a long-held dream by its organizer, Sunil — an India-born resident of Itami City and owner of Tandoori Delight, an Indian restaurant. Last year's inaugural event was met with overwhelming enthusiasm and wrapped up to great acclaim.

The color powder experience is ticketed, but entry to the food court, shopping vendors, and live stage performances is completely free. Early-bird discount tickets are available, though you're also welcome to simply drop by on the day and join in from there.
